Cervix Is High And Open

Don Quixote - a musical reading

The reading of one of the most famous works of world literature began on Sunday, 30.01. bathhouse in Steglitz. Don Quixote proverbial battle with the windmill blades known to everyone, the novel by Miguel de Cervantes but hardly anyone has finished reading.

Susan Long retranslation 'Don Quixote de la Mancha' (award winning and highly praised) presents the work with a tremendous sense of intonation and suspense: very funny, full of beautiful scenes and allusions, and surprisingly entertaining! In addition, seasoned with wonderful observations that the translator has translated well with Susan Long sensed word choice for the sometimes bombastic "Rittersermone" of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, the language of the hands-on. Delicious the dialogue if the two have again passed an adventure, or the far-sighted approaching Sancho again one sees (natural disaster guessing ...).

"The Susan Long ingeniously translated into German Don Quixote would be a milestone in Cervantes reception." - Georges Güntert, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, 24.01.09

Every last Sunday of the month, always at 19 clock, and always with an appropriate musical accompaniment. The beginning of the migration of the "Knight of the Sorrowful" starts in the café of the town bath Steglitz : who would therefore can yet the pleasure crown with a glass of wine! The later readings then migrate through the "Mancha" (read: the different rooms) of this beautiful art style bath!
